and speaking of FANTASMIC! construction :) it was fun watching the infrastructure for this show come together and to speculate what all of the mechanical elements were for :)

Coincidentally, I flew United to Disneyland this weekend, which just happened to coincide with Mother's Day. I can assure you that the gourmet food and delicacies have gone the way of DL's Phantom Boats

Someday we will all be able to sit on the Mark Twain and get this view.

Great picture. I love how this is an angle most people will never see, and yet it's detailed and finished.

We had one of the janitorial CM's waiting in line behind us at Mr. Toads, sweeping through the line. He was telling us all about how he loved working at Disneyland. He saw me taking a pic of the family and offered to take a pic of us all. He was a very nice guy.

Anybody remember pushing, or being pushed, in these strollers? These are my oldest now 40 and 42. 78CISJERSTROLL (2).jpg

I actually liked these better. They reclined all the way back and kids could get a good nap.

I'm sure I spent time in them but don't remember. But I certainly remember seeing them (and occasionally feeling them - ouch!)

    That goes for all strollers.
I have to admit that I have dinged a few people over the years. But, I always apologize profusely!!!

I remember being in those strollers. We would always tie a balloon on them so we can find ours.

Best parade ever! It's funny how wdw stole it and turned it into a show to run for twenty years. Seems kind of cheap when you think about it.

That photo is from Parade of Dreams, which began during DL's 50th.

The parade that WDW "stole" was The Lion King Parade (clever title!) which ran in the mid-90's. Given that it had a successful multi-year run at DL and was replaced by a completely new parade (Hercules, I believe), it's hard to have sour grapes about the show that WDW is still trotting out after all these years

There was something magical about the animal dancers in that parade. The cheeta and gazelle girls were the best especially when they came right up to you.
