The morning that we waited for TDL to open, our spots in line were right in front of the picnic area, and I passed through there when searching for a restroom. It looked like it had been impeccably maintained, but like it hadn't see any cosmetic changes since the park opened. Very tidy, but very dated. Still, it serves its purpose well, and is much easier to find than DLR's picnic area, which can seemingly only be found by people who've been to it before

It wasn't too bad, but it was the first day of the Summer Matsuri event, so I think it brought out the diehards early. The biggest rush at park opening was to secure show spots in the hub, so the attractions themselves were fine. It sure was hot sitting out on the pavement in the early morning though!

I don't know how some people do it. I will melt in 20 minutes in Tokyo's summer. It's crazy. Even winter. I'm always hiding during those times.

It is quite big and there's always a table available. The convenience store in the hotels are too expensive. I sometimes buy food from there when I'm staying at the resort. Tears start rolling down my face as I part with my money and I always think to myself, "Why didn't I stock up in Seijo Ishi?!" ;)

Thanks for the tip. Will definitely go check it out. Have never stayed at the Hilton before.

As soon as I saw Familymart I knew you had to be going for the Famichiki! Amazingly good (but messy as hell lol).

Haha yes it is. I always get some of that fatty oil on my shirt. I have one T-shirt with a stain that won't wash off. It's been there for a year I think!
