I know it takes Disney indeed a lot of time to finish Fantasia Gardens, but for me it looks like they are completely rebuilding it. And instead of cheap asphalt, they use stones, which also takes much longer to place.

I'm also not fond of the short film festival, but at least there's something in the theatre to escape the sun, the rain or the crowds. It's not better or worse than the Disney movie previews. However I wish there would be something new and worth the theatre. Captain EO and HISTA are just so outdated that I don't want them to bring these shows back.

I still think, they should relocate Star Tours to the Studios and remove the theatre to make place for a new attraction that actually fits the Discoveryland theme, like Journey to the Centre of the Earth or 20000 Leagues under the Sea. I know it's wishful thinking and will never happen.

Those would be great additions. If they removed Star Tours and the theater (and finally put Pizza Port out of its misery), there might even be enough space there for a new land. Those facilities are pretty large on their own, and I think the backstage space there has some extra room. But given that they're currently redoing Star Tours, it seems unlikely to happen any time soon

Then again, rumor has it that both US Star Tours attractions may be getting replaced in ~5 years, after the Star Wars lands open, since they'll both be physically separated from the new stuff

I'm pretty sure DLP will be stuck with Star Tours for at least another decade. I just can't see SWLand coming to DLP, but maybe a great Marvel ride for the Studios.

Today DLP's new show "Mickey and the Magician" has had its world premiere and it gets good reviews.

Mickey and the Magician is shown at the Animagique Theatra in the Walt Disney Studios Park.

Is this the replacement for Animagique?

Looks like a nice show. Animagique was definitely getting dated, and this looks like a high quality replacement. Hopefully they'll find ways to keep it fresh and/or replace it sooner, but it seems like a good addition to the park's roster

I've read many more reviews and it really looks like a good show. However I wouldn't count on a replacement soon, since DLP likes to keep shows, parades etc for a long time.

I fully expect this show to run at least 5-10 years, and it looks like it's a high-quality show that will be able to last that long. It also seems like they could insert new segments in the future if they want to try to keep it fresh without having to completely replace it

Most of the parks (other than Tokyo) tend to keep entertainment longer than they really should. The Studios in WDW is still running that tired old Beauty and the Beast production that opened the same day the film hit theaters, which is probably the worst offender

Ok, that's indeed way too long to keep a show, but currently they can't get rid of it, because otherwise DHS would soon offer anything at all :D

Yah, they've really painted themselves into a corner with that park. There's not much to do now, but they can't update any of the things they do have because there is so little left over. It seems like the only reason that their TOT was saved from the Guardians retheme was that the park couldn't afford to have an attraction closed for that long

Hopefully the Toy Story land will be a quick addition. Especially with the current reductions in physical space that's open to guests, the park needs all the help it can get

I know it's one of the cheaper hotels, but I've always really liked the look of the Cheyenne; something about it just feels very comfortable to me. I'm not a fan of sticking characters into things, but those additions don't look too bad. It's a whole lot of stuff for only one character, but most of it is pretty subtle and it works. It looks more like a 1950's Woody's Roundup-era kid's bedroom than a frontier-era room, but it still brings thoughts of a different time and place

You are not alone with liking the hotel. If I'm not mistaken, it's the most popular hotel at DLP besides the DLH. I like it too, but we have never stayed there, because it was always full.

I think all refurbished DLP hotels did a good job with incorporating Disney characters. It is not a in your face style. The inly exceptiin is the Cars billboard on top of the Santa Fe.

I really like the look of the Toy Story Land and I am sure it will be popular among guests, especially the coaster. So the park will be very busy. It already has a very good attraction line up. After SWL opens, DHS might be a huge draw for guests.
