    Hoping it's just election-season bluster, i.e. "We need to elect Pat Toomey to stop Hillary and her activist judges" blather just to rile up the voters.

    If they actually decided to not confirm anyone Clinton nominated, no matter how centrist or qualified, and leave a vacancy for what would be 5 full years because somehow they think they're entitled to a conservative majority on the Court (that they've already had for 30 years), that would be jaw-dropping. And remember, their (lame to begin with) excuse for not confirming Garland was "the next president should pick."

    Yup.

    They're effectively hobbling 1/3 of the United States Government for political purposes, and now they're not even trying to deny it. Talk about dereliction of duty!

    If this should come to pass (beyond even Judge Garland, I mean), is there any way to force them to do their jobs? It *is* written in the constitution, is it not?
