Disney reviving MMC on Facebook

Remember those Mouseketeers? They're back, but for a Facebook audience.

Disney is creating a new series called "Club Mickey Mouse," a remixed version of the classic variety show "Mickey Mouse Club" that aired on-and-off between 1955 and 1996. But instead of airing on TV like its predecessor, "Club Mickey Mouse" will be a Facebook exclusive series.

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E is coming to Facebook and Instagram at the end of the summer.

Disney Digital Networks is revealing more details about its plans to revive iconic variety series The Mickey Mouse Club as a socially-distributed program called Club Mickey Mouse.

It seems weird that they are doing this on a service that doesn't allow children under the age of 13.

 

Maybe it's the adult version of the Mickey Mouse Club? A place for all the mommy vlogers and 40 year old guys with no day job that talk like cartoon characters to talk about the latest move of the churro cart.
