"Innocent until proven guilty" starts looking pretty good when it's your childhood idol/hero sitting in the sexual misconduct hot seat. That was my first thought but he all but admitted it by taking leave, so no defense there really.

Simply astonishing. And you have to wonder when a studio is so built upon the reputation of a single leader, how that studio will fare going forward. I don't see good things in the future for Pixar and I predict his leave will become permanent.

Just the beginning at Disney. With all the attention on sexual misconduct going on, there will be many more within Disney based on what I've heard from those I know in the company. Not just sexual, but also other harassment issues that haven't been brought out yet.

Since the Weinsteins and their Miramax Studios were part of Disney for many years, I'm actually surprised that nothing has already surfaced from back then that involves Disney.

Depending which news/rumor sources you want to believe, there's some evidence out there that Disney knew a lot more about Weinstein and Lasseter than they've admitted to so far, and this information led to Chapek getting his article in Bloomberg in an attempt to position himself for an early Iger resignation. I personally think that's a little too far-fetched (at least the Chapek part). but it's something to be aware of

And as much as I hate to admit it, I wouldn't be even a little surprised if more accusations in the next few weeks also had Disney connections, as is apparently the nature of such a large and powerful company

This kind of thing has been going on for a long time. Even Walt has been know for asking his female employees if they wanted to ride his train.

I audibly groaned at that one at my desk...I sure hope my boss didn't hear me.
