Yes, there's still a store there, but a few years ago they reconfigured the exit path to remove the option to go directly into the store. Instead, you walk the extra 15' to the main walkway and make a U-turn to the right (walking into New Orleans Square from the Rivers of America or near the Pirates entrance, it would be the first store on the left). They seem to rotate various types of merchandise through that store, but there's always a pretty good selection of pirate stuff at the end of the store closest to the ride exit For whatever reason, it seems like only a couple shops are listed for the entire park on the maps and website. I think it's still called Pieces of Eight, but that may have changed at some point
What temps can we expect there 2 weeks from now...what to wear in the evening etc?...park will be open to midnight a couple of our days there.
According to Weather.com, it should be in the mid 70's and a low of mid 50's. That's pretty typical for this time of year. Bring a coat for the evening. However it does feel about ten degrees warmer inside the park than outside of it.
