Is that really DL's Pirates? I don't remember ever seeing the "Buxom Wench" in purple- only pale blue.
Yep, that costume change was a result of DLP redoing the auction scene so they're selling treasure (because pirates don't just plunder for themselves) instead of women. In general a lot more jewel tones were used in the updated scene. I would expect DL and WDW to have similar color changes when they update their rides this year (though I thought they said spring 2018, and we haven't gotten real dates yet...)

We were at DCA and actually rode Little Mermaid that day. Got a text from our daughter asking if we had seen it. We didn't but I will never be able to unsee the video every time I see Ursula in the future.
