Sorry this has taken so long. Lots o' scaffolding. Guys working And, in honor of the Lunar New Year......A Great Wall
With all of the work that is being done I have to admit that I am tempted not to go back to DLR until it's all done, but still go BEFORE Galaxy's Edge (Star Wars Land) opens up to avoid a little bit of the craziness.
We went last year around the same time. Weekends were crowded but weekdays were not too bad. <<<----GREEN with envy
I always brace for the worst and hope for the best. We'll only be there a couple of days. So, I guess whatever happens, happens. It will be nice to see the place again.
Be sure to take pictures of the Pier area for us. I'm curious to see the progress they are making (if any).
I'll sure try. Unfortunately/fortunately, I don't carry a phone and have to rely on others to do the photo-taking. Remember the days when people actually wore cameras around their necks? When my kids were little, I would bring the vhs camera with us.
Sorry, I didn't get any shots at DCA. This was taken from our room at the Paradise Pier. (I cropped it so you could see better.) Midway Mania was still open, thankfully.
Thank you for the shots. You had a pretty decent view at Paradise Pier. Too bad it was taken up with construction.
Looks like we are going to try a mini trip the first part of December so we can catch all of the holiday goodness that DLR has to offer!
I am so JEALOUS! I love DLR in December. It's such an exhilarating time to visit the park. We are always so limited in the times we can choose to go, coordinating between work schedules and school schedules, it seems impossible. And then, we're usually stuck going on days that are notoriously crowded. At some point in my life I want to be able to go with the freedom of choosing optimum dates.
It is a definite advantage to having adult children and not having to work around a school schedule as well. I will be sure to take plenty of pics to share with you guys.
