We did. Unfortunately, we came home to this: Our gate gone and our fence in the ditch!!! Hit and run of course. He abandoned the car and the police have it but will not give us any information until the report is filed in 8-10 working days. Our insurance is $4K deductible so that does not help. If the culprit does not have insurance we are stuck. Meanwhile, our yard stands violated and unprotected. Just another reason I want to get this place sold. So we do not have to worry about stuff happening while we are gone.
Oh man.....Why does crap always happen when you're not home? Seems to be the way of it for us anyhow.

All the crap I was dealing with in 2018 is STILL here. Suing the drunk who wiped out our fence. He is insisting he was never driving a car nor was he in an accident!! The owner of the car refused our calls and will not even tell us if she has insurance. Having the damning police report and an eye witness notwithstanding, small claims court is our only recourse. We are still working on getting the land owner next door to get his tenants to lower the volume of their booming (it is NOT music) and clean up their trash. Again, our only recourse may well be small claims court. Hopefully when the landowner gets subpoenaed he will take it seriously and resolve things without actually going to court.
Fingers crossed that your legal issues finish quickly and in your favor. My thing I need to say is...I really dislike it when my guy is sick. He makes everybody miserable when he doesn't feel well.
