Gee, thanks. I'd completely forgotten about the Mission Tortilla Fiasco. Until now. So far as I'm aware, every version of the pre-show was right up there with Epcot's "El Desperdicio del Tiempo" and DL's old "Casa del Fritos" among the things in Disney Parks that Mexico had every reason to regard as acts of war.
I can't believe you found it!!!!!! Thank you Jim in Teakettle Junction, CA. Your presence is requested and missed. I'm on a "Mission" from God to get the old band back together, you are laughingplace's version of Donald Duck Dunn. Welcome back! Your pal, Crazycrocodilius
I really would like to find out more info on this kid. Maybe write a blog about his career, meteoric rise, and fall from grace
Can anyone find the "actors" name anywhere? Any geneaology experts on the board that might help? I must find out what happened to Jimmy and gain closure!
I completely missed out on the tortillas! We didn't start going regularly to the parks until about 6 years ago, and the tortillas left 2 years prior to that. It makes me sad...
Yeah, I kinda dug the tortilla factory as a minor attraction (with free fresh tortillas!); people loved to put down DCA 1.0, but if it had had more major attractions, I think this would have been appreciated more as one of the "little things" you do to vary your day, like at DL. Jimmy was so bad he was good (sorta), and all in all it was better than just another store (even though I love Ghirardelli).
We absolutely loved getting a free tortilla! And if you were wearing a birthday button you got a whole bag.
Yeah, it worked. My letter. It's my fault, not Jimmy's, I know that now. If only I could use the Avenger's time machine to go back and right my wrong. MUST FIND JIMMY!
Yep! Just a Ghirardelli Square. Yummy, but you can buy those anywhere. Not like a fresh baked tortilla.
