Coming up shortly we are going to see the DCA and Downtown Disney join together. What do you all think about that?
I thought it was only going to be the shopping area of DCA. Not the whole park...this is one instance that I wouldn't mind being wrong.
You are correct it is only the shopping area's. It is unclear how much beyond that walking space will also be open. It currently looks like just the front half of the park will be available to walk around in.
Well, if I lived nearby I might go in for a *Disney Fix* but I live too far away for a shopping trip.
I'm assuming this is a temporary measure. Permanently un-gating DCA would, given that Disney has long-since abandoned individual attraction ticketing*, be untenable. Theoretically, they could open, say, DL Main Street for shopping as well. _____ *I've long held that abandoning individual attraction ticketing -- something competition from Magic Mountain goaded Disney and Knott's into doing -- was a mistake. I've been to Magic Mountain (pre-Six-Flags, in June of 1976; it was my elementary school's graduation trip); Not being a roller coaster fan (and I still have precisely zero interest in unthemed roller coasters), I found it boring and understaffed. (It says something about a park when the single most interesting thing I found was an "Open the Safe" arcade game.)
