does anyone else have to drive the 91 freeway to get to Disneyland ? We recently bought the park pass where you can only go during the week. Since we are both retired now I thought it was a great time to go. Only problem is the traffic on the 91. I can't figure out the best time to leave my house. It's a nightmare!!

The general answers are "leave even earlier" or "avoid 91."

Depending where you are, the 22 might be better, even if you have to detour a bit.

Because I go to LA every so often and grew up in the area (and also because I'm weird and love maps), I will sometimes just google-map greater LA and out of curiosity look at traffic at various times of day. I would say that the stretch of the 91 between Riverside and Orange counties, especially around Corona, may be the most consistently "red" (traffic jammed) stretch of freeway in the whole system. Can be absolutely any time of day.

If you're coming from the west, the 22 can sometimes be better, as mawnck said. If coming from the east, consider the 60 to the 57.

The traffic overlay on Google Maps is your friend. Check it out before you leave to see what to avoid and if an alternate route would be better (sometimes there's just no good route and you have to bite the bullet). Waze is another good app.
