I did that last night, and I plan to do so in the future. Sticking around and talking (even to others), only seems to serve his wishes and he's just not worth it.

I agree that taking the ball home is probably not as good as sticking around and ignoring the sock puppet. But ignoring someone as hyperactive as this is difficult, and gets old after a while. Which, yes, I fully understand is the goal of the sock puppet. He got banned from the boards, so he's going to come back and make it impossible for anyone else to enjoy them.

Since the sock puppets don't offer up any real points, there's really no reason to engage them at all. Honestly, I find it more frustrating when people engage them than I do when the sock puppet posts. Replying just gives them the attention they want, plus it gives them some sort of validation and encouragment. If they continually post and get NO responses...they look like even bigger fools. I mean, why would one want to broadcast how pathetic they are? It's there for everyone to see. I like that.

Thanks.*** Yeah. ***Instead of taking our ball home, let's just keep playing while he watches from the sidelines, not cool enough to be included. LOL*** I'm pretty sure he likes that, though. Thing is, he's done it before and likely he'll do it again (unless he grows up), and in between he goes away for a while. So I'm just thinking this is the fastest solution to getting him to go away...getting no replies at all, and then getting banned. So he spends all his time making up new user names only to get no response. Seems logical to me, but it's not for me to tell others what to do. As I wrote in the topic, it's just a suggestion I intend to try and follow myself.
