There's just so much that can -- and I'd argue endlessly -- needs to be done at WDW ... yet the morons who run the place believe that marketing campaigns will endlessly supply guests and money ... I don't see it. At some point you need substance, not marketing hype, not DVC development ... but REAL, SUBSTANITIVE ADDITIONS (and not simply replacements which is largely the soup du jour at WDW) ... it just galls me how out of touch with both their audience and reality WDW's exec 'leadership' team truly is.

I'm just worried about the unknowns, just like others have expressed. Being a musician I'm inclined to audition to get the experience. But after reading the news I think it will cut into my day! Leaving the rest of my family to do what? And if you get through to the finale and have dinner reservations....just to many "what ifs". I have horrible feelings about this.

He wasn't very positive. The one aspect that jumped out at me is that the 'judges' are just actors -- but apparently introduce themselves as legit judges in the music industry. And apparently, they take on the personas of Randy, Paula and Simon -- even with scripted dialogue.

Blecch. Reminds me of the 'Director' and 'Stunt Coordinator' at the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular show.

You are such a negative ninny! This is a brillant an original concept. I have been giving some serious thought here of late to becoming an Imagineer. I think I've come up with more original concepts. " Magic Kingdom Survival", 12 guest are divided into teams of 6 each, and are released on Tom Sawyers Island, where they compete against each other for churros, Doylewhips, and Mickey Ears. The winner gets a front of the line fast pass for the day. "Dancing with the Characters", guest are selected to compete in dance competition with their favorite Character against other guest. Winner gets a VIP spot to view Wishes. "All American Fairy Smack Down", guest compete in a no holds barred rumble against Tinker Bell and all of her Fairy friends. Winners receive a fountain soda of their choice, plus a order of McD's fries. This brainstorming for the Mouse is a stressful job. So what do you guys think. Will I have a career in Imagineering?

Yesterday I got an e-mail from Disney about a new parade, Click it, stick it, flick it, celebrate it, something like that. Presents all wrapped up, characters inside. Anybody else?
