Smart phones are complicated beasts, and there are a lot of things that can go wrong with them (which is true for any mobile phone, but even more so for Smart Phones)

It used to turn off when the battery got to around 40c and restart..it did this more so when charging and being used at the same time. ( u can download a battery temp app ) but one day it wouldn't re start. It wouldn't get passed the start up screen. I took it back in. And they sent it off and replaced the battery and mainboard. I read online that overheating can be a problem with smart phones. Good luck with it.

If they can't fix it they will send you out a replacement if under warranty. Or if you have insurance you can pay the deductible and replace it that way.
