Apple had to do the legwork to get the payment system set up, but it will be interesting to see how many real world merchants adopt it. Personally, I see no advantage to it over using a credit card and don't think it's worth the hassle of installing everything (but I don't have an iWhatever anyway, so it doesn't really matter)
