Fantasmic is being set up as the signature attraction for the 10th. But has anyone heard what the out come to shows like Big Band Beat and Over the Waves. Will these shows be staying on or be replaced?

I had a baseball cap from the 5th anniversary, quite a nice design too... but I have apparently lost it! DAMN!

I had that hat as well, and really liked it. Then it flew off my head on the Splash Mountain drop in Florida a couple of years later, never to be seen again.

I'm also kind of fond of the idea that Disney characters will be dressed in Sorcerer's Apprentice inspired costumes.

But on the other side my first visit to the Tokyo Disney Resort happened to fall on the 5th Anniversary Event. The 5th celebrations were very grand indeed. Tower of Terror opened and we were able to see Mythica make its debut. New shows were introduced like Over the Waves and Big Band Beat, plus lots of various streetmosphere.

With whats been announced so far it appears the park will be going with the same format of the 25th Anniversary event. With the five phases to be rolled out over the year. Perhaps we'll see new shows rolled out during this time. But what concerns me from the info provided so far is that except for Fantasmic the only other big attraction to open will be the Carpets.

What I'm addressing above is my first initial thoughts, from the information provided.

You're probably talking about this one:

Mine was different. It was all dark blue with the 5th logo centered at the front.

I see to remember that when Fantasmic debuted in California it was like the biggest thing since sliced bread.

Same for MGM, they touted it as a premiere event bigtime.

Seems to me that should be enough for one year (last year was Turtle Talk, soon Toy Story will be opened...I refuse to consider the flying carpets to be anything of significance though :p).

What would you consider a "small attraction"?

Its probarely writen in this content because Management are still organising everything and don't wish to announce to much detail yet.

For the record I certainly don't consider the Carpets a big attraction. It will make a nice small addition to the park for sure.

I know the one your refering to now. I seem to recall one or two caps being on sale during the 5th Anniversary. The design on some of the 5th merchandise was high standard stuff. I purchased for my Dad the Anniversary tie and its still to this day a very elegant piece.
