Since there will be close to 8 years between visits for us when we do go, we are way behind on new things to see. I was wondering if anyone of you would be willing to summarize some of the new stuff or if you could point me to a place that can help me find out that would be great. Even a few must not miss things would be fantastic. Second, I am looking for one really special place to eat. Preferably one of the newer places. Be Our Guest I have heard is really good, and my wife adores Beauty and the Beast, so I'm thinking that may be what we do, but would love opinions. Finally, as far as tickets go, does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy them? We are staying with my parents in their vacation club place on the Boardwalk so it doesn't make sense for us to do a package. Thanks so much for all the help! -WJ

The reservation system is now integrated online so everything is linked together, including advance FastPasses. You can begin making FP reservations 60 days before your visit (after you’ve purchased park tickets), and dining reservations can be done 180 days early. As far as new restaurants go, Be Our Guest is the headliner. They also recently opened the Skippers Canteen in Adventureland, themed to the Jungle Cruise; I ate there last month and really enjoyed the food, but I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews. Bistro de Paris in Epcot (upstairs in France) has become Monsieur Paul, but the overall experience is pretty similar. A new signature restaurant called Tiffins is expected to open on Discovery Island in DAK sometime this year, and should be ready before your visit As far as new rides go, so far there’s really only the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Little Mermaid in Magic Kingdom. Definitely try for a Mine Train FP, but Mermaid can be done standby. Later this spring, a new nighttime fountain/multimedia show called Rivers of Light is expected to open at DAK and looks very promising. Kilimanjaro Safari will also begin offering nighttime rides around that time. Maelstrom in Norway at Epcot is getting redone into a Frozen ride and is expected to open by this summer, and Soarin’ will be updated before your visit with a new film that includes locations around the world
