When K and I ate at the Biergarten a few years ago and we had a nice meal and a nice visit with our table mates. I think it helped that we were seated with two smaller groups instead of one family. The oompa band was fun too.

Of course as people of German extraction we really enjoy the food there, but it might not be suited to other pallets (vegetarians and pescitarians (sp?) need not apply).

We are going again this October and will give it one more chance as it is my son's favourite buffet. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is a better experience.

I have a German friend that is taking me on Sunday, she says it is the best she has had outside of Germany. I have never been to Germany, but I think it is the best Spatzle, sausages... I could drink the mushroom gravy by the litre stein...I think it's the best German I've had."
