Both the Disneyworld website and Intercot.com say that Splash will be closed from Jan 1st- Feb 15th (actually Intercot's site said Feb 14th) When I went to DL in March, I called Disney directly and asked them when they were going to be finished with the Castle refurb. and they were very helpful with providing information for me.

No matter how helpful Disney wants to be, sometimes the attractions open early, and sometimes, unfortunately, they open later. Some schedules such as holiday overlays are pretty predictable. I would just hope for the best and if a certain attraction is closed, either expectedly or not, just enjoy the rest of the park(s). It's not like there isn't enough else to keep us happy. And then, it's an excuse to return.
