We started to bicker and the cast member who was standing by the entrance came over to us and was like " I hear you guys are cant decide to go on or not, well lets play some disney trivia while you guys try to decide." So he asks us the a question, we get it right he gives up these 2 tickets that were like fast passes. It was so nice of him.
Basically where im getting with this is what are some other nice things cast members have done for everyone else?

(i know this topic prob. has been done before, but i havent seen it so i figured i would start another one.)

Not really looking for a freebie or anything, I said that it was my birthday and I'd had a terrific day. Next thing I know, Pluto is coming over and leading me by the hand to stand up on a bench. The handler then announces to this group of maybe 15 strangers that Pluto wants everyone to sing Happy Birthday to me. It was just the coolest moment for me, and it cost the CM and Pluto nothing to do. Very very cool!

One time, we were at a character breakfast with our kids and my oldest had to shoot off her mouth that it was my birthday. So while Chip tried to make a deal out of it, Dale actually got on the floor and tried to tie my shoelaces together. The kids thought it was hysterical, I really was caught off guard and didn't know how to react with Dale screw'n with my shoes.

So while Chip tried to mock-distract me, Dale kept at it with my shoes and I just sat there perplexed.

    Very weird, but humorously rememberable.

I call that the "Fastpass Gridlock" experience. No one used to ponder cutting their visits short until FP was introduced, since lines didn't used to be that long before that for most major rides..

may be true at different times but one of my 2 trips a year is always in June after the kids get out of school, and I clearly remember 90 minute waits on mulitple rides in the late 80's and early 90's - GTMRR being one of them, Space mountain and Peter Pan also for sure.

The majority of my trips to WDW are mother/daughter excursions and we usually begin and end our trips at Epcot. We love spending time in the different countries, and especially in the UK pavilion. We usually stock up on a few certain goodies while we’re there and have them sent back to our hotel. Well, the day we were there, we had a nice little conversation with the CM who rang us up at the counter. When we were ready to leave, he put our purchases in a bag to send away to our hotel and we were off from there.

So, the next day, we retrieved our bag as usual and stowed it away with the rest of our purchases. When we got home from our trip and unpacked our things, we were amazed to find a little note along with two chocolate bars from the store inside the bag. We were so surprised, as we had not checked the bag the day we picked it up and never expected such a thing to happen. We had a great laugh as the chocolate had melted a bit, but it was definitely thoughtful nonetheless ;)

May I suggest you try Tokyo, Hong Kong and Paris next time, where they happen to have far superior Disney experiences and much more culture than what we get at WDW in central FL.

It will give you a different perspective of our own country and how behind the times we are in the USA in many ways. A true eye opener.

Yes, I guess the faux illusion of EPCOT can be a decent substitute, but for me, I can't really get into it because there is way too much interference that destroys that illusion in the first place. Too many tourists in bad shorts for one...

I already plan on doing the WDWCP and cannot wait to see what else branches out from there. I also cannot wait to see all of the other Disney park locations and maybe even working it all into my career path :)

Now...21 yrs later, I am being paid while I visit all of the Disney resorts on Earth regularly and get to learn more and more about World cultures and gain knowledge beyond belief about the cities I have traveled to. Of course... becoming a flight attendant now is something I would not wish on my worst enemy... but a career that affords you the perks of traveling might suit you. Just ask Leemac for more info on this.

But to what you said..Exactly, there is no true substitute for seeing the real thing. I have always aspired to travel and love learning about what exists beyond our country and culture..and choose not to live an ignorant lifestyle, as some people my age do.

I had previously thought about becoming a flight attendant, but the job has definitely changed over time. Your career path however, does seem fairly ideal. Thanks for all of the comments ~.^

What I didnt see until watching the video later was when the Mad Hatter kneeled down to tie my 3 year olds shoe. It was the sweetest moment. And there were so many that day!!!

WDW's Future, what's your perspective towards Pleasure Island?

The most remerable part of this is when it was all over I was presented a DVD of the event.
And yes they gave me a birthday cake.

We had a wonderful day...despite the heat, overcrowded conditions and some grouchy, rude vacationers. The last ride of the day was Space Mountain. There were six of us. Trevor(10) got the front, then me, my husband, Caitlin(17), Justin(18) and Alex(13) at the rear. We got off the ride laughing and such only to see my husband holding the side of his face in agony. Something bounced off his eye just as we headed down the first hill on the ride! It took us half an hour to get to First Aid because people were lining up for Spectromagic. I couldn't believe how rude people were....they wouldn't move so we could get him through! Anyway, we got to first aid...and they checked him out. They wanted to send him to the hospital as a precaution but after taking a look at my tear stained face, my husband refused. He told them that it was our last night at WDW and my birthday and he was not going to be the reason I missed the parade or fireworks. The woman handed me a tissue and bandaged his eye and laughed really hard as I drew an eye on his "eye patch". They then led us to a "VIP" section so he could sit and we could watch the parade. After "Wishes" we stopped by first aid to assure her that he was "ok" to drive back to our resort and she asked if anyone had sung to me. I nearly cried as three cast members gathered in the room-one dialed the phone and they and Mickey sang "happy birthday" to me. I then got lots of hugs and birthday wishes. They made a bad situation one we can look back on and smile about.

Oh...and the photos we took of my husband and his "pirate" patch are good for a laugh as well!

That sort of circumstance is becoming more and more rare, so it's always good to encourage all involved with some feedback.

    Just my $0.02.
