Sadly, I think the sculpt of Basil's face could've been better. The pose is great, though.

I have a link to a picture on my site of GMD collectibles.

You know, it doesn't do much for Basil's ego when I post a message telling about his sculpture, and all you say is, "Are they doing Ratigan as well?"

Your obsession with villains is something I understand well. So many times somebody posts about a new product and I answer, "Is Basil on it?"

Now, for my little secret: I post on a Disney role-playing website. It's the ultimate geek experience, or close to it.

I use Basil, of course, but somebody just joined as Kuzco, so maybe I'll get to see what happens when egos collide.

5BR - basil_fan is correct. The Ratigan piece in the last issue of Tales was the original movie maquette that was used to illustrate Rhett Wickham's interview with sculptor/animator Ruben Procopio. It is an insightful piece about working at the studio. We also had a great photo of his father Adolfo sculpting the Horned King for Tokyo Disneyland's shuttered Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour.

I'm glad they are doing two pieces from the Great Mouse Detective but I'm more excited about:

    <a href="http://www.wdccduckman.com/runawaybrain.html" target="_blank">http://www.wdccduckman.com/run...ain.html</a>

Love Runaway Brain and the opportunity to have a maniacal Mickey is one I won't be able to resist!

After all, it was on the basis of that little pic of Ratigan alone that I bought issue 13. Just had to have an article that touched on GMD, my great obsession.

I'll email you, FBR, about the site. Pssst--we have no Ratigan!
