I don't even usually like shows and I LOVED them. I didn't get to go on Soarin' then and can't wait to on our trip in 39 days. I am looking forward to TOT and Monsters as well. So who else really like DCA? Sure it has some growing to do, but so did Disneyland when it first opened and it sounds like they are taking steps in the right direction at least. :)

Is it DL? No. And it shouldn't be. The problem is that by nature everyone will compare it to DL and no park will ever be DL. So for that very reason it is doomed to constant criticism.

Does it have a lot of growing up to do? Absolutely. Recent additions have helped quite a bit(Bugs Land, TOT, Monsters). Yes, the park still needs more quality rides and attractions. But they will get them with time.

I enjoy going to DCA for the unique feel and experience it provides. And it's so nice to have 2 parks to choose from. I could never say that DCA is better than DL (too much nostalgia for that) but I can say that I really like the park and what it has to offer and I visit every time I'm at the resort.

I had the exact experience on my first visit. I've since come to realize that, while much of what is said against DCA is true, the place istn't nearly as awful as some people make it out to be.

But the first time we went we just fell in love with it. I loved the music and we loved the difference between the Disneyland expereince and the DCA one. It was relaxing and though there was not alot to do, we park hopped over to it for 6 days.

I think the real key to enjoying the park is to understand that it is not Disneyland and was not ment to be the same kind of experience. Just like EPCOT you have to enjoy each park for its own merits.

We are going back in Sept. and while I am saddened by the some of the changes I am still looking forward to going back. I am interested to see what they are really going to do with WDI's placemaking projects.

    - Soarin'
    - Monsters Inc.

This list though has a tendency to make me turn my attention away though:

    - Orange Stinger
    - Golden Zephyr
    - Games of the Boardwalk
    - S.S. Rustworthy
    - Mullhouland Madness
    - Maliboomer
    - King Triton's Carousel
    - Jumpin' Jelly Fish
    - Sunwheel
    - Tuck and Roll's Drive 'Em Buggies
    - Heimlich's Chew Chew Train
    - Francis' Ladybug Boogie
    - Flik's Flyers
    - the Tortilla tour
    - the bread tour

I think you'll find most posters will have several good things to say ... But for now, the park has one too many lesser attractions that are quite forgettable. :]

    This is an understatement.

The key to enjoying DCA is PAY NO MONEY. Go for FREE.

DL for the vast number of varied experiences; shows; parades; theming; etc. DCA for some of the shows; attractions; more open space; Taste Pilot's Grille (that topping bar has to be costing them a few $0.01's) and the overall more-laid-back feel that the park has (DL can sometimes get a bit on the frenetic side).

So - do I feel that DCA can stand on it's own - not yet. Do I feel that it's moving in the right direction? Yes.

Alone, neither of those rides would pull me over, but together, there is a good vibe coming around.

Now if the park could only capture some magic!

I am not sure why some people really bash it.... it is different than DL, but, I find that ok.... it's a taste of California so- to- speak for us out of towners.... I look forward to seeing how it expands, as it is a young park. We give it 2 thumbs up !!
