At the DLR hotels you can cancel/change up to 72 hours beforehand and they don't charge your card until you leave (or you can checkout and pay). Whoops, just realized that maybe you are talking about the Disney website booking. I guess having a heads up about WDTC and the hotels is always a good reminder to check everything out.
