My coversations dont start off with guess what I heard about Disneyland. In fact I find I did not vist this sight as often as I do now when I was a pass holder. Anyone else get DISNEYLAND OVERLOADED!

It just wasn't something I was use to as at the time I had only been to *one* park, Disneyland, my baby . But, it subsided pretty quickly as I was once again itching to see it again after a few months. 2001: I call this MY year of Disney . I had managed to hit 3 resorts all in the same year, with two brand theme parks to boot opening that year. I hit the DLR in Febuary and experienced DCA for the first time, went to France (doing a European trip also) in July and saw DLP for the first time and was then back at the TDR resort in September to witness the birth of TDS . That actually was a GREAT year for me in terms of seeing 3 new parks in 3 different countries, 2 of them just opened, but yeah, I had enough of Disney for awhile . July 2005: Yeah, I JUST had a huge DL overload just a few months ago. Basically went back to America to do the LP meet and saw DL (including the 17th) for about 2 days. ONE week later, I was back at the resort and took my mother this time for about 5 days and saw the resort for another 4 days. Then, ONE week after that, I was back in Japan and went to TDR for another 2 days. For litterally 3 weeks straight, every weekend I was at the resort for days on end and by the time I was back in Tokyo, I was pretty sick of it all lol. I was actually pretty bored in TDS after a few hours because I was just DISNEYED out. Add to the the huge LP meet (my first), the 50th anniversary hoopla and everything else, I was just a little tired of Disney (didn't stop me from being here everyday though ). But, with all that said, this year is still going for me: I'm on my way to Hong Kong in a few months to finally check out HKDL AND trying to get back to Paris to see DLP a few months after that (but still a HUGE maybe) and see WDSP for the first time also AND back in L.A. to visit family and go back to DLR again (I even have a deluxe pass I bought from the last trip, so will be using it...often ). So, ANOTHER round of Disney theme parks will start for me again in December . Will be sick to death of it all by Febuary .

I know that people that don't live locally don't have that option so I can't really compare myself to anyone who's chimed in so far... but I don't recall suffering burnout even before moving to this area. I used to visit every few months or so.

We then head to WDW for 6 days before flying back to so cal (10.5 days) for another 2.5 days at the park (13 days). We just starred at eachother not really wanting to return to the parks. We opted to go to Knott's for the afternoon to give us a small break from Dinsey. Our trip was planned before we really knew what we were going to do for our honeymoon so adjusting the flight to return a few days earlier was going to cost too much. So we opted for more Disney. Needless to say we took a break from Disney, but not too long. Only 3 months before returning.

We went home and crashed. We got the car and drove out to 'the block' (neither one of us had ever been there before) and saw the same movie we could have seen at downtown disney, but it was just a pleasant relief to visit someplace "non-disney". One day isn't enough, two days is perfect, three is one too many. For me anyway.

And then we're planning the next visit within a few days after returning home!

In fact, I've even been in talks with Princess Aurora about the idea of moving into her castle. We're such good friends, you know. When we got home, I told my husband it would be 5 years before we went back. In planning this trip, we did debate WDW vs. DL. However, when I got down to making a list of what we wanted to do at WDW, it turned into a repeat of last trip. I won't forget not wanting to hear/see/do Disney for almost an entire year. So we decided to go with DL, stay offsite and hopefully find a balance between Disney and reality. I think I'd be fine on-site for a few days, but we're doing 8 nights again, and I want to get away, take a break, explore some new things.
