I'm still not sure what to expect from that movie.

Sadly nothing in this trailer compels me to see the movie, simply having humanized animals isn't enough. There's very little originality on display and it feels at this stage like Disney are going backwards. Hopefully the actual story will make up for this!!!

Not sure that's enough to make this movie something we've never seen before, but I am hopeful about the story.

Every Mickey Mouse short, every Goofy short, every Donald Duck short as well. I don't understand why anyone at Disney felt the need to explain this "concept" as if it is something so out-there and brand new. It's the sort of trailer someone who never has watched a cartoon would make to explain the idea of walking, talking animals to other people who have never seen a cartoon before. Just... odd.

That said, the artwork looks nice, the characters look very Disneyesque and appealing (the fox is very related to Robin Hod and Br'er Fox), and the slow-walking sloth was funny.

And I do like the amount of creativity and thought put into the world. The concept art for the city looks immensely more interesting than Oakey Oaks, which was just "cute."

Chicken Little was the last one I can remember...it's been a while since that one, believe it or not.

I do find it pretty odd they are marketing it in this way, but I smiled and enjoyed it.

You're right, you can't tell much about the movie from this. but that's not all that unusual for a first trailer, is it?

I think this has been deliberately set up as the anti-"The Good Dinosaur" sneak being that both have similar conceits at the outset (what happens if the asteroid never hit and what if animals ruled the world).

I hope I'm wrong but from the outset I didn't see the appeal of an animated buddy cop movie. I hope I'm wrong.

It is a little strange that they have plumped for a fox again - you know those wily characters? It just seems so obvious as an animal choice.

In light of the fact that both Robin Hood and Chicken Little are right near the bottom of my Disney animated movie canon list this probably doesn't bode well.

On a side note I attempted to watch Princess and the Frog again this week. What a terrible movie. Boy does it drag with one-dimensional characters and stupid unnecessary musical set pieces that don't propel the story. My blu-ray player actually blew up right after Ray was killed. I'm amazed I made it that far.

The character design and movement is eerily reminiscent of Chicken Little, where they were so eager to show off their CGI "squash and stretch" abilities. The name immediately brings to mind the Madagascar movies (though entirely unrelated in concept), which doesn't make me think of anything I want to see

I wish them the best with this film, but from what I've seen I have no interest in it. And given how unlikely I am to go to a theater for a film that actually looks good, it seems like there's almost no chance I'll be seeing this one any time soon

    >>I hope I'm wrong but from the outset I didn't see the appeal of an animated buddy cop movie. I hope I'm wrong.<<

It wouldn't be my first pick either, but it sure seemed popular when they did it with Toy Story...

Ditto. I'd rather kick back and watch my copy of Fantastic Mr. Fox than traipse to the theater for this one. *yawn*

    Did you write that Kar2oonMan?

I like the style of the trailer, with the white background and all the various characters. But, yeah, it's not the most original concept - but hey, isn't 'Wreck it Ralph' a play on 'Tron'?

I wonder if the average person knows the word and / or definition of 'anthropomorphic'

Disney/Pixar doesn't have to put up a good trailer for me to catch their animated features. The only ones I won't even try are sequels to features I didn't like.

It looks promising, at least judging from the trailer.

Anybody want to bet that this will make more money than The Good Dinosaur? Despite the current TV ads for that, it seems to have absolutely no buzz around it
