This is kind of similar - when I went to DL for the first time last February we were there from a Sunday to a Wednesday morning. I knew that we had to see Aladdin at DCA Sunday because it wasn't playing Monday or Tuesday. Our plane got delayed several hours and although we tried hard we got there just after the last showing of the day started. While I hadn't seen it before it was one of the things I was looking forward to the most and I was crushed that we would not be able to see it.

I hope you still have a fabulous trip, even with no Splash. Maybe you will be lucky in other ways like maybe you'll get a Magical Moment!

My first trip to WDW in 1996 I was so excited to see Epcot. My uncle had discribed to me one of the attractions where (SPOILERS: for those who don't know) the theater you were sitting in split apart and went through a portion of the bulding like a ride. Of course that is the Universe of Energy and it was closed for the Ellen refurb. I was sorry I missed the first incarnation. Luckily I had researched the trip and new ahead of time that it would be closed.
I also never saw the World of Motion.
Generally each trip I have taken to WDW there has been one big attraction closed.

I was pleasantly surprised that when I visited in early October of this year, nothing was closed, during the off-season no less.

Of course, it was a little painful that I juuuust missed seeing the new Nemo ride. I think that's the worst, not that a ride I've been on before is closed, but lamenting not getting to see whatever new ride is in the pipeline. I recall previous Disney trips right before Tower of Terror, Star Tours, and Jurassic Park (yeah, it's Universal, but same idea) were about to open.

But hey, it's something to look forward to next time, not to mention justifying that next trip!

By the way... there is really no such thing as Port Orleans Riverside. That name is an abomination to all who love Dixie Landings.

There is one true Dixie Landings and one true Port Orleans. So it was, so it is, so shall it ever be.

RoadTrip has spoken (which along with $2.50 will get you a bottle of water at WDW).
