The gist of it is he and I were watching a scary movie and then it started to happen in real life. This monster started taking people and then it took me. He described the monster to look like an orangutan with a long tail and sharp teeth. Then I took a razor blade and cut off the orangutan's tongue and cut it's eyes and then he woke up. And then he called me.

    Hmmmmm...

Or is there something going on at work that is bothering you? Or elsewhere?

I am guessing that your husband's worried about how someone is affecting you, and that he feels helpless that he can't do more to control the situation.

I Googled "Dream dictionary" once, and it's fun sometimes to look stuff up.

I have dreamed of mansions since I was a little girl.... living in them, mainly. I probably have "mansion" dreams at least 3-4 times a year, and have for at least 30 years now. I always thought it meant I would LIVE IN ONE someday, or that I was destined for wealth.

But, noooooooooooooooooooooo! Check this out, thanks to that LINK of yours ;-)

"To see a mansion in your dream, suggests that you need growth. You may feel that your current situation or relationship is in a rut.

Last night's was interesting and cool (well what HM wouldn't be? LOL)...I got to assemble together this corpse doll that was about 2 feet tall, and it was to go near the end of the ride and look like it was sneaking up on another character, lol. I also had some input/connections with a guy who worked on the Mansion, who was gonna maybe let me do some work with 'em on it! Or somethin' like that---you know how dreams are, lol.

But the coolest part was when I went on the ride...I ran to a doombuggy but it was really a sort of chair, and the ride was different at the beginning---we first went into a really big attic/storage room type thing where one wall was lined with bookshelves, and as my chair approached it (turning so the back was to the shelves), it rose up in the air and slowly bounced across the side of the room! It was *so* *cool!* LOL!

I hadn't had a dream with such "motion reality" since my very intense one I posted several weeks ago where I wandered into an old haunted Victorian like home (with a kitchen beneath, so it must have served guests), and an invisible force/specter lifted me into the air, floated me around, and threw me around on the ceiling---and I went back in again in the dream with "witnesses" after the 1st time, lol!

This is quite common. Especially if the movie involves chimps. One day we'll all be here at the will of apes, and someone will yell out, "Man! I thought that was just a movie! Someone wake me up, i must be dreaming!" But the only thing he'll get is a blast of cold water from a crudely-formed firehouse knocking him against the wall of his cell.

    >> This monster started taking people and then it took me. <<

This refers to a fear of multi-levelk marketing schemes. It can happen in real life. Only Sudoku puzzles capture more Americans each year.

    >>He described the monster to look like an orangutan with a long tail and sharp teeth.<<

I think I saw him on one of those late night "Make a Fast Fortune in Real Estate" infomercials.

    >>Then I took a razor blade and cut off the orangutan's tongue and cut it's eyes and then he woke up.<<

We've all dreamed of doing this. But Telemarketers have a job to do, so getting violent with them isn't the correct way to handle the problem. Sign up for the National Do Not Call registry. It doesn't seem to really stop them, but it's a lot less messy than the whole razor blade thing.

I hope my careful interpretation of your dream has been illuminating, Tiggirl. I'm always here to help.

The doll represents you. The assembly represents you *creating/revealing* this *new* side of you (of which I am apparently the only one who doesn't think it's "new". LOL.) The doll is 2 feet tall b/c you are fascinated by your own tallness (as we all are) and I think that's how long you said your Hoagie was in that other thread. ;) The end of the ride represents excited anticipation for the culmination of some event, hmmmm, wonder what that could be? Or it could be b/c you always like to have the last word. :p LOL. The sneaking up is, well, you like to sneak up and watch so there you go. LOL!

<<I also had some input/connections with a guy who worked on the Mansion, who was gonna maybe let me do some work with 'em on it!>> This represents the whole possible back stage scenario with Vicki.

There's more but this is getting too long. LOL.

    ;)

Then ya shoulda seen my dream when Vicki came to my family's house at about 6 a.m. the day of the show, LOL! I was so surprised and thrilled when she arrived, and Mom and Dad (who were for some reason gone) came home after a while and got to meet her too---good times!

Now let's just make it REALITY! :-D

Okay, you meant an actual *haunted mansion* (aka DISNEYLAND) dream! I thought you meant being in a mansion that was just... haunted. I have had some creepy ones like that! They're not to be confused with what I refer to as "amusement park dreams," which are always quite fun! LOL

Your HM dream sounded totally cool. AND I love where I have certain "powers" in dreams. I had one not too long ago where I could make things move if I concentrated really hard. It was fascinating! I was disappointed to wake up. LOL
