Both of the main leads of the amazing "Breaking Bad" took home awards, both well deserved. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul create stellar performances week after week. Both men play characters that do stupid illegal things, are incredibly flawed and yet... you still want them to be okay. That's no easy feat, and season after season, they seem to just keep getting better. If you don't watch this show, you're missing the best show on television.

"Mad Men" also won again. This show is another that just seems to improve year after year, the characters become more layered and complex, and the attention to detail in setting the time period is amazing.

I also didn't get the opening and felt dumb chills all around my person. I guess I wouldn't like Glee...

Ann knows Jim Parsons? I'm uber-impressed! Jim has created one of the best comedic characters for years - Sheldon Cooper is hysterical.

It took awhile for it to grow on me but Big Bang Theory is the most consistently funny traditional sitcom for me since Frasier. I just got Season 1 on DVD and from the pilot it is excellent. I'm amazed that anything from the vile Chuck Lorre could be good - his Two and a Half Men is the same regurgitated sex comedy every week - I don't get the appeal but then I rarely "get" any of CBS's programming. I can only guess that former Muppets writer and BBT co-creator Bill Prady is the real muscle behind the show.

I really like all of ABC's comedy block - Modern Family is exceptionally well-written and acted, I like Cougar Town (but then I'm a huge Bill Lawrence fan from Spin City and my beloved Scrubs) and I've just seen a few episodes of The Middle and it seems a good show too.

And I'm another one that can't grasp the success of Glee. I've tried to give the show a go on numerous occasions but it just doesn't work for me on any level...

Big Bang Theory is the one that (like Glee for leemac) I've tried to enjoy because other people like it, and just never warmed to. I laughed sometimes, but... do all CBS sitcoms use the same laugh track? It really started to wear on me. Seriously, I think it prevented me from enjoying it more.

I'm with 2oony on Breaking Bad. I like it even better than Mad Men, and so glad to see Aaron Paul get some recognition. Can't fault giving it to Cranston again, though I was kinda rooting for Michael C. Hall from Dexter, which is another really good (and really dark) show. Talk about someone who does terrible things that you still inexplicably end up rooting for!

We don't even get Showtime, but you can netflix them, and I recommend it. Start with season I and just keep going.

Dexter I'm behind on too. I've only seen seasons 1 and 2.

Wow... so are you also impressed that I've worked with Edward Albee? Ellen Burstyn? Frank Wildhorn? Linda Eder?

I didn't know any of them as well as I do Jim, but knowing Jim is just a happy accident of us having both been theatre majors at UH.
