That's exactly what we did. I regularly dine in Michelin restaurants and other fine dining. On the same vacation we ate at the Top of the Mark and other notable places in California. BB was still high up our list.

And I have to disagree with you. My first complaint about the BB is the coral that they put you in to wait for your table.

The last time that I was there, people were so stuffed in there that one could hardly move. Reservations were behind by 1 hour and they continued to tell people that arrived to check in that it would only be a matter a minutes and feel free to cram on in with everyone else.

I have been to the BB where it has taken them 30 plus minutes to even get bread on the table let alone take an order.

I have seen the restrooms there filthier than any gas station I have ever been to.

All of these things do not equal a fine dining establishment.

What the BB does have going for it is location, location, location, with a touch of fun atmosphere.

Could the BB survive in the real world with the prices they charge, and the problems they have, no.

My favorites are The Napa Rose, Blue Bayou, Bengal BBQ, and the Royal Street Veranda!

BB is an expensive restaurant that offers food not often seen in an amusement park-and sometimes it's good and other times it is not. I would never rank it as fine dining.

I have to agree with this statement. We go regularly to DL, but Blue Bayou is a treat and we have gone maybe 4 times in the last 15 years at different times of day and on 2 occasions the service was great; 2 times it was not so great. Every time the food was just okay, not great and not worth the prices. The last time was for lunch and there were 7 of us. I shared a Monte Cristo with one of our friend's because I felt it was goingto be too much for me to eat and it was. I had heard so many things about it and how great it was and so on and so forth. Then we I got it, it was not at all what I expected. What I expected was a French toast-type of egg-batter dipped sandwich and what it was was deep-fried and soggy, slimy and so greasy I couldn't eat it. All for the princely sum of $27.99, split. Talk about disappointment!

The other times I have had a salad, the pork and hubby had a steak once. To be honest, the steak dinner we had when our last child was born was better than what we got at the Blue Bayou.

So for lots of $$$ you can have a great seat next to the POTC attraction and get marginal food. For the atmosphere inside the restaurant, it is great. However, my opinion is that I will spend my $$$ on other things and not waste my time at the Blue Bayou anymore.

As I have said before, this is my opinion and what I have experienced. You may feel differently and had a different experience and that's okay.
