Their computer lab was cancelled and they had extra time, so their teacher said we could watch a video. She had "The Bee Movie" in the player, but when the kids saw "Frozen" on her desk.... We watched about an hour and it was amazing. Some of the boys got bored (I let them play on computers) but the girls were singing all the songs and some had memorized dialogue passages, reciting them along with the characters. I asked them what they liked about the movie (no definitive answer) and we discusses "Olaf is a symbol for ____ " (don't think that bought that one). I just got to see "Frozen" on DVD two weeks ago myself, and although it was very good with nice music, it didn't strike me as "best in class" as the box-office results would suggest. But after reading the comments here and see their reactions, I'm developing a deeper respect for it.

It's not a bad movie, but it's nowhere near my top 10 favorite Disney movies. In recent memory, I thought Tangled was a lot better. Then again, I'm not a girl and I don't have a sister, so I feel like something gets lost in translation >>"Why did they harvest ice?"<< Because it was their primary form of sustenance : ) In all seriousness, I thought that the ice harvesting thing was really strange. They had the big dramatic opening with it, and then never really mentioned it again. I feel like a lot of Kristoff's backstory must have gotten cut out in a last minute revision, since there's a lot more to him than is actually explained
