Gay Days...

Are these days at Dland gnna be more than 25% gay people? I ask because I am planning on going soon and want to avoid these specific days. I think I remember being younger and my family taking us all to Dland when it was Gay day. I remember alot of un-family related material aswell as a whole lot of rainbow patches during that day.

I don't know what is considered "un-family related material" ... but my guess is the most you'll see is a bunch of guys who know how to party. A little more outgoing. But from what I've heard from past "Gay Days" events .. most of the guys 'behave' themselves.

What's wrong with expecting people, gay or straight, to behave with some decorum when in the park? I wish those people would just "get a room". Disneyland isn't "make out land". One of the reasons I go to DLR is to get away from the overall coarseness and boorisheness that has become the norm in our culture.

I often actually tell people to get a room, quite loudly, when at the park. I haven't encountered the need to suggest this with a gay couple yet.

On any given day there could be at least 25% gay or bi people (oh-oh!) at the Park, not just on Gay Days. Maybe you should just stay away altogether.

Yeah, okay. Gays were disproportionately represented that day, then. A significant part of the "crowd" that day was Disney geeks, not run-of-the-mill tourists. And gays are overrepresented in the Disney geek group. Ipso facto poofter... Lots of gays in the Park on the 17th.

Poofter? Can you write "poofter" on LP? A San Diego group called the Beat Farmers used to do a song called Poofter to the tune of Green Acres. They never covered "Brown Eyed Handsome Man" to my knowledge, though.

Perhaps the assumption was that the behavior would be similar to that seen at some Gay Pride events and parades.

I don't want to watch anyone making out in public in front of my kids but like I said, its always been heterosexual younger people that I have encountered at DL.

This is somewhat off topic, but what is the deal with couples that kiss each other REALLY loud in public? Its difficult to explain other than saying loud kissing. They are always loud, bottom grabbing and then when they stop, they immediately look around to see who is watching them. Um, thanks for keeping me on my diet because I am now too sick to eat. ;o) It happened again in front of the apples at the grocery store last week. HELLO! You are in the produce section, take that loud smoochy arse grabbing outta here! Luckily I have pretty good aim so I was able to get both of them with one big bunch of grapes.
