I remember specifically because a father and daughter we were exiting with were really unhappy as they had waited to buy a gift, thinking Main Street was open the extra hour. I suggested they try WOD and they took off on their mission.

    I guess it could be different this year.

    So with an 8 PM closing, as is normal in May (off-season), you can have the extra hour of shopping, and let folks stay until 9 PM.

    But in June, when Disney starts to expand its park hours, they will keep the park open until 9 PM, but not offer the Shopping, so they can get the guests out, and let the cleaning crew, plus the set up team for the special Grad Nite venues have some time before they let the Grads into the park.

    One really cool thing was that we got to see them testing the different lighting for the castle on our way out. A Disney Geek treat :)
