Rumor has it that Disney will take over the location and open a Disney Couture Shop and perhaps a Disney Home Store. Couture clothing is a style of vintage fashion designed by the likes of Fred Segal in Santa Monica. World of Disney sells this stuff. Mostly T-shirts that are distressed and covered in rhinestones and crystals. Prices start at abou $50 and run up to about $125. New store should be up and running by summer or fall of '06.

It was unique and I'm sorry to see it go but the stores Disnerd mentioned sound good too :)

That's how I imagine it, anyway.

Agreed. Great to browse. Bruising to buy.

If their Orlando store is generating more money than the one in California -- enough so that the Disney World location will remain open indefinitely -- then that could be one indication of the advantage of having major, serious tourists, who are more liable to dig down deeper in their wallets or purses, streaming through a place that screams "big time!" instead of, in contrast, "DCA: rinky-dink!"

And jewelry. They had some really cool stuff.

Or it could be an indication that you're an idiot who can't differenciate between DtD and DCA.
