    I'm crossing my fingers that we avoid some of the high winds here in rhode island. The trees are all still full and even if we just suffer tropical storm force winds, I expect there will be widespread power outages for days.

    Not a drop in NYC, not even from being on the edge of it. It just veered farther east than originally projected. This is a good thing, especially for the areas that did get hit that might have gotten hit much harder.
