We even fly in always really early in the morning so we can get to the park on day one no matter what. And its all just so I can walk through under the train station and get that first view of Main Street and the castle. That's when I feel "home". :)

    2. Entering the gate at Old Key West and having the guard " Welcome Us Home "

    3. The Ferry ride across the water -- into the Magic Kingdom

Each one makes me feel better than the next -- and suddenly : money / 20 hours in a car / 2 weeks of work waiting for me when I return / etc mean nothing to me --

ad to that going over the bridge across the intercoastal ( you can see the Vero Beach resort from the top ) - for my add on vacation. Not really WDW, but we go every year leaving from WDW

I always start at Epcot, but other than that I do exactly as you say. Gotta hit Epcot in the mid afternoon, ride a few rides and absorb some atmosphere, then have a great dinner, go to the Rose & Crown for a martini or 3, and stand in front of Canada for IllumiNations. And thru it all I keep saying to myself from time to time "I'm really here!!"

Except for when you're saying "I'm on fire! Help me! Help me! Help me!" right? ;)

As for me, gosh, it's when I start seeing the billboards for the rides as I'm driving in or being driven in from the airport. Then when I hit the big Mickey & Minnie entrance.

Of course, by the time we get down to only 2 days left my wife tells me "Shut up, it was much more fun when we had the 7 days left".

Hey, I put the fire out all by myself! And after sending a note in on the Disney website a couple weeks ago, they finally contacted me yesterday to start an injury claim. We'll see where it leads.

Stopping at that special room to recycle the soda I've been drinking on the drive there.

And though I prefer the ferry from TTC to the MK, for me there is a really great feeling when MY monorail goes into the Contemporary and comes out the other side. The whole "entering another world" thing.
