Thanks for giving everyone an update for me Lisann!

Well here is the story. I had the first sonogram on Thursday and it should some fluid on the baby's kidneys. They said it could be nothing at all or it could mean there was a blockage somewhere. So I had to wait until my doctor looked at the reports.....so Thursday I am in a meeting and I get a call from my doctor saying that I need to come down right now and get a repeat sonogram to see what the kidneys looked like. If they looked fine then it was just that at the time they took the first sonogram the baby just hadn't urinated in a while. If there was no change then they would need to deliver the baby so to bring my bab with me because I would have to go right to labor and delivery.......WHAT!? I am like um....today?? Totally not what I expected to hear. So I get the sonogram and the baby's kidneys look about the same. My doctor explains that it is nothing critical, my fluid levels around the baby are good, it just doesn't make any sense to leave the baby in there any longer. It will be much easier wo find out what is going on with the baby out and he is big enough already.

OK....this is not how I saw my day going, lol, Friday was supposed to be my last day at work! I had left from my office and my son and Lilo were still there. I made arrangements for my mother to pick them both up and my son would go with her to take Lilo over to my friend who watches her while we go away.

So we had planned to induce, but for a varity of reasons that ended up not being an option once we got there and I was examined. I can't explain how scared of a c-section I was! But that i
was my only option.....it was very weird being awake for that. I had no idea they had even started though until the nurse said I would feel some pressure now while they take the baby out!

Anyway, everything went well. He was crying well and looked good right from the start. He does have a pretty good amount of hair, so the heartburn thing might be true!!

He is more interested in slepping then eating so they are going to keep him for a few more days until the are happy with his eating habits. His kidneys seem fine, but they will no mre tomorrow.

I just got home and can't wait to shower in a hot shower! I am going to the hospital to feed Jaden and then I'll give more of an update and post some pics.

My friend's mom is 4'9", and weighs maybe 80 lbs. She gave birth to two 10 lb. babies - naturally. My nieces and nephews were all born naturally. Of the six of them, the smallest was 8 lbs, 7 oz. The others were all over nine lbs.

So glad to hear everyone is doing well, TiggerPooh! Geez, at least I had two days warning I was going to be induced early. I can't imagine getting a phone call like that!

I too had big babies with no drugs and no c-section. My biggest weighed 10lbs and my smallest 8.

C-section :p I remember having to hold a pillow over my incision when I sneezed and tending to walk on my tip toes :) Then again that was 20 years ago. I do remember the drugs too, I felt so great I was washing my floors and I got in BIG trouble!
