I'm actually thinking of canceling my own cell as I almost never use it (I hate the cute little phone I got last time too, it's difficult to talk on). It sounds like if we had just the 1 contract for the iPhone, it's $70/month plus messaging and taxes, etc, so around $100/month! LPers who pay these kinds of fees, do you really find it worth it? I can't imagine, myself, but I know that's partly a personality thing, plus I'm usually home anyway, so I really don't have a need. So. New iPhone, discuss.

Sounds like there are some good improvements and of course the app store will be great. Ill probably pick one up after the wedding.

And feel it's worth the monthly fees - what do you pay? Thanks

I'm on it alot for work and personal use, and the iPhone has so many cool features I'm lacking now, like navigation, etc. I get lost easy and I don't have anything now except for a Thomas Guide from 1977. And yeah, it is a status symbol and a "cool" thing to have...so I need to have one. I waited long enough and didn't get the first round of iPhones.

My sons love all the gadgets and gizmos and do use the iphone for all it's worth. They are constantly showing us things that it does in a flash. If I had one, I'd be using it for making phone calls Also, the excitement of being in line with others who are excited for a product can be fun Kind of like being inline for a ride (attraction) at Disneyland when it first opens. Son #1 would be happy to answer any questions. We call him the Apple addict

I'd rather pay just a little more and enjoy my phone and have some fun things to play with, like posting to LP Live without worrying about it getting "full" after two pictures. Plus, I already have a 401k and and IRA, darn it!

And then there's the 'cool' factor which is why Dr. Fruitloop has to have this phone and have it now! One thing I'm extremely unhappy about is that I had my briefcase stolen a few days ago, and my docking cradle was in it. I searched everywhere for a generic replacement, hard to find, and when I found a store that carried one, they were sold out every time. Desperately needing my phone (which by now had lost it's charge) I went to the Apple Store. $50 for just the docking cradle?????? % BTW The generic ones were $30.

Instead, refer to it as iSave. People will flock to it! (Just be sure to include a free plasma lava lamp widget. It's so shiny... so sparkly.....)
