Anyone else like these games a lot? Which one do you like better ? I can't decide...

Have you played the GBA one ? Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. It fills in a few story gaps between the two PS2 games, sort of. The style of game play is significantly different though and I did not like it nearly as much. I am still working on beating the last part of it.

I got Chain of Memories for the GBA but hated the card system of gameplay so I never finished it.

I finally sat down to play KH2 not too long ago and finished it (minus the heinous Jiminy's Journal) in about a week. I liked the game a lot, but I MUCH prefer KH1. I was actually quite angry for a while as I was playing it because I was tremendously disappointed at how everything was spoon-fed to me, leading me mindlessly from one area to another. No puzzles to solve, no nooks and crannies to explore like in KH1. I felt like nearly everything that I loved about KH1 was absent in KH2. But despite my disappointment, I still loved it for the characters, story, and graphics. The addition of "reaction" commands is pretty cool too, as well as the improved camera angles.

I feel like I'm alone in this since everywhere I go on the web all I read about is people who loooooove KH2 and think it's a vast improvement over the first game, which I just do not get at all.

I used to play on the PS2 a lot, I tend to play the Sims2 now if Im going to play, on the PC. (I always do the same thing with them though, see how quickly I can get them to fall in love...lol, so sloppy!)

Dznygrl, I'm with you - I was surprised that KH2 spoon fed all the clues and there was really not much puzzle solving. I LOVED that about KH1, trying to figure out what to do next. I finished KH2 in about 1/2 the time (also did not do Jiminy's Journal). What I liked about KH2 was the fact that at times I felt like I was part of the movies. I agree with you, the story was great and the graphics are outstanding. I also liked the reaction command, alhough it took me a while to get the hang of using it.

Oh and mickey meg, since I still have another week I have started KH2 again and the nobody/organization XIII thing makes more sense the 2nd time around. :)I think this time I am going to work on completing Jiminy's journal. Probably won't finish before I go back to work, but hey, the days are getting shorter. I'll always be able to play in the evenings.

I absolutely love Donald in the two games. So much so, that he has climbed up the ladder in my list of favorite characters !!

I just can't say enough about the KH games. I bought Final Fantasy X off ebay yesterday. (little bro told me I could have his PS2 - I think he probably bought the PS3) I hope it will be half as good as the KH games !

I love the game, but I got stuck on one part. I played it for hours and couldn't get past it, so I put it away and haven't played it again. When Kingdom Hearts 1 came out I beat that game, but I just can't get past this part in Kingdom Hearts 2.

I actually couldn't wait to go back to work after my surgery. I was tired of being at home. I guess I am just a workaholic

I still have not finished KH 2, which I bought when it first came out. I am at the very last rest spot, and I thought I would go back to all the worlds and collect all the things that I would need for the bonus ending. One thing: you need to a collect a wee bit more in KH 2 than you do in KH 1.

I was disappointed with KH 2 that a lot of the worlds and characters were revisited. The game is very Pete-intense (although it's cool to see him) and Maleficent makes a cameo. I thought Scar and Shan Yu were weak bosses, and it would have been common sense to have Gaston as the boss for the BATB world.

I loved the TRON level: very cool!

I feel that Madam Mim would be the ULTIMATE KH boss if/when they do KH 3. Just when you think you've defeated her, she changes into one of her animal forms. Pete does a similar thing: he just runs away to another cartoon set. I'd also like to see Ratigan, Shere Khan, Willie the Giant, The Headless Horseman, Gantu, John Silver and the Horned King as bosses.

Well word has it CoM really does make KH2 slightly less confusing, and from what I played of the game I could sort of pick up on certain things that happened in KH2 as they related to CoM. However I don't think it's absolutely necessary. Besides, card battles drive me insane! I hear that in Japan they actually released a more fleshed out version of CoM for the PS2. Unfortunately still a card-based game. :p

It took me a while to get the hang of reaction commands too. At first they just ticked me off and I saw the idea as completely arbitrary, but once I got the hang of it I thought they were fun and useful.

I have been chipping away at Jiminy's Journal just for the heck of it, but lemme tell ya it's MURDER! Just when you bust your rear to complete one thing, an entirely new task comes up which is more insane than the last. Also while I was playing the actual game, I had no idea that you could build "drive forms" up to different levels and that each form is built up by different things. So in order to complete the journal it becomes necessary that your forms are leveled up. Not a fun thing to do AFTER you've hit the final save point...

My favorite part of Jiminy's Journal is the 100 Acre Wood mini games. They're so fun and cute. :)
