BUT, I jsut read a post by trippy saying that the food has gone downhill, and the service wasn't that good either. Soooooooo, anyone else have some input to help me decide if I keep this ressie or go with something else instead?

    Our service and food was okay in October, but to be honest, I felt the quality had declined somewhat since the two times we ate their in '05. It was just not as much of a "stand-out" as on our previous trip. Still, I think Kona remains a fairly safe pick with reasonable prices.

    We ate there in November for lunch (our first time eating there)and they were very attentive. Our food came out slow, but that was a problem with the kitchen, not the staff. We enjoyed what we had & our waitress was very pleasant.

We had a little trouble because the kitchen staff just wasn't getting the concept that my fiancee wanted freshly made eggs and not the stuff they'd had sitting in the warmer (which the manager told us on a past visit they'll do for you if you ask). Aside from that, the food and the service were pretty good.
