Can anyone predict how long this trip should take, assuming it's not rush hour?

When is rush hour in the LA area? What time would you recommend driving there/returning to avoid the worst traffic?

    Thanks to whomever can help.

I would allow at least an hour, but I do not drive there often, so leave the pertinate traffic information to those who are familiar with the daily situation.

As far as getting there... When you get on I-5 north get into the carpool lane and then take CA-91 west (there's a direct entrance from the carpool lane.) From CA-91, take I-605 north (no direct carpool entrance, so you'll exit the carpool lane before exiting from CA-91 to I-605. When on I-605, stay toward the right because three exits up is I-105. Take I-105 and get in the carpool lane. There's a direct onramp for I-110 north from I-105. Take I-110 north and remain in the carpool lane. From the carpool lane, take the 39th St./Coliseum exit. Turn left on 39th St.; Straight ahead to Exposition Park and the California Science Center.
