Legoland Discounts?

Anybody know a way to get some discounts on Legoland park tickets or hotel? We're thinking of stopping there for a night or two our next visit, and I can't believe how pricey it is!

Also any tips for things not to miss, average time to allot for each park, etc would be appreciated!

If you get the free monthly Lego builder magazine there is a coupon in there for free kids admission with paid adult to all Legoland parks. They also had a great article on the new Chima water park expansion at Legoland California.

If your kids love Lego, then they will love Legoland. However, approach it for what it is: A PARK FOR CHILDREN. Yet, I am in my 50s and still had a nice time at Legoland. I enjoyed the Lego exhibits and other ways how the lego theme is applied to rides and environments in the park

My family of seven had to use three coupons. We bought three tickets and got three free. (Our youngest was under three and free at the time.)

Make sure you have enough coupons to cover your family. Ask around, ask friends, ask on Craigslist, etc.

We got there late in the afternoon and bought the tickets. We were able to do Sea Life Aquarium that afternoon and then Legoland itself the next day. It was great. This was in 2012 so I don't know if they changed the rules. Have fun!

The kid (6 years old) I took a couple of weeks ago loved loved the water play area. If it's hot enough, take a bathing suit.

He also loved the driving school. Being able to drive all by himself was a big winner. No guide tracks either.

He was too timid for the coasters, so can't comment on those.

For an adult, everything is missable.

Every ride I look at is like, really?!

Oh well, at least it'll be something new and my kids will enjoy it. We plan on going to the water park/water play area for sure. I can see us spending most of the time there. My kids LOVE swimming/water play.
