After reading the post by the girl who had her childhood wallet returned after 17 years, there is still hope for me. On Wednesday night June 25, 2008 I lost my Canon digital camera at the Magic Kingdom. This was the first time I 've been at Disney since I was 10 and my daughters' first trip ever. They are 4 and 9 months. Needless to say there are lots of pictures on the camera and I am really hoping that it still shows up in the lost and found. We lost it at the Carousel of Progress or at the Buzz light year fast pass. Maybe this disney dream will come true too and my camera will come back.

Thanks Elderp, I did that first thing Thursday morning so I have my fingers crossed! I think most people out there are good people and would return it. The camera is pretty expensive but the pics of course are priceless. Not to be too corny.

They really really do a great job at WDW with lost and found. My wife lost a pager on Dinosaur and 2 days later they called us to let us know that it was found. We had left a description at Guest Services.

I lost my wallet on Tower of Terror and got it back the next day, everything still intact including my $4 cash. Of course I had already cancelled the Debit card.

My DD had lost her small bag with a throw away camera. We went to the lost a found later that night and it was returned. A CM had found it and brought it back just minutes before we got there. She was so happy that she almost cried. (she was 9 at the time)
I bet you'll see your camera soon. fingers crossed

My son who was 1 1/2 at the time was so happy to get his hat back. We didn't even call to see if they had it. They just mailed it back to us.

Depends if it was that time after we were riding the kali river rapids you are talking about. LOL, but true.

But later that day some very nice people in Chicago called my home phone to say they'd found a phone and we were listed as Mom & Dad, and they used their own phone to call me. Unfortunately I was also at WDW so didn't get the message right away. I think they even called my cell, but since I didn't recognize the #, I didn't answer. Really nice people.
Hopefully some really nice people found and will return your camera.

really hope you get your camera back. My camera broke 2 weeks ago at DW. Luckily son 22 had his digatal camera too, so I still got pictures. Daughter 18, left her glasses in the room. The glasses are being mailed back. This reminded me when my pictures on my camera were accidently deleted. I was so dissapointed, there were alot of vacation pictures on it. Then months later on Christmas eve I was looking at my camera and all my pictures were back! I don't know how it happened but that was the best christmas present! I hope you have the same luck!

I asked for their names so that I could contact the company so that I could praise them. Disney never acknowledged my letter. The company expects the cast members to act properly, but the higher ups couldn't care less.

My brother lost a pair of sunglasses in the Magic Kingdom. We wrote to Disney after we go home and they mailed us a pair from the lost and found. They were not the pair he lost,(different brand) but looked of equal value (about $15) so he was happy.

I do hope you get your camera back, and I totally get what you mean, it is not even about the camera it is about all those happy memories you want to hold onto forever that are stored on it. Any chance you used photopass and can get some Disney pics that way?
