I just got hit with some big ol' allergy/cold thang about 24 hours ago, which had a nice (said sarcastically) progression into worse and worse all night last night...cough, sore throat, hot flashes, cold chills, weakness, sore throat, sneezing, itchy/watery eyes, minor aches.

And this sucks cause my sister and brother-in-law are comin' in town tomorrow night to celebrate her birthday with me, and his from last week. I did manage to tottle to Wal-Mart last night and get birthday wrappin' paper and wrap up their stuff for 'em. But I tried and tried and tried to sleep for 4 hours and *finally* I got about 3 total I'd guess; It didn't help that I kept havin' to DRINK 'n DRINK 'n DRINK like a fish (water--not like a lush, lol) and PEE 'n PEE 'n PEE (sorry). I was supposed to meet Tara 'n Sean at The Old Spaghetti Factory tomorrow night and then have 'em over for presents, but I may just stay home and rest while they're eatin' and then have 'em over (she doesn't know any of this, it's a surprise---the birthday thang, not my ickiness, lol). I did think about takin' a taxi (it'd be my first time, wow) to meet 'em at the restaurant where I was gonna surprise her, if my taste was back to normal and I felt like spaghetti. Guess we'll see.

Today the cough's a little better, I'm gettin' some nasal and chest drainage out (I know, "eww", lol), and my body temp. seems more stable.

I get this crap about this time every year, I just don't think it's been as heavy the last couple o' years (I'm takin' some generic DayQuill stuff right now which seems to help, along with drinkin' like a fish). Anyway, here are some services I wouldn't mind rendered:

    --pillows fluffed
--extra blankets when needed, removed when not
    --warm, tasty soup
    --constantly replenished water and Gatorade
    --nice stories read to me
--favorite TV show or movie DVDs played
    --soft relaxing music played
    --foot msssages

    Thank you :)

    Zicam
I tried Zicam after someone told me about it and I could not believe how it stopped my cold. I have never taken anything like it. I purchased the swabs. There are several different types of Zicam as well as applications (spray, swabs, etc.)
I am highly recommending this product. Please give it a try.
It comes in Zicam Allergy, or Zicam Sinus Extreme as well as many others.

Why is it that grown men always have a list like this? . . . whether they are sick or not.

You need sleep. Hope you get some good sleep tonight.

Nah chicken it's all good---I knew to take your post in a laughing way, lol. I wouldn't say I'm "miserable" cause I've been miserable before---last night was "a bad night", and now I'm a little better.

    You're the boss, remember?

Rest up. Hope you are able to make it out tomorrow night. If you go, take some Airborne first.

Let us know how everything turns out.

Does your sis know about LP? If she does, be sure to wish her a happy birthday from us. (I know I don't *represent* LP (lol) and that's presumptous on my part but I don't think anyone will mind.)

    (off topic: how's mom?)

He wants me to stay home for 48 hours, which the lazy part of me doesn't mind, but the money part of me doesn't wanna miss work, lol. And I'm not goin' out tonight for my sister's birthday, but my brother-in-law is bringin' her over here as a surprise where I'll give 'em their presents (his b-day was last week).

And Mom's doin' really well, thanks.

Whatever will you do with so much free time? Can you even remember the last time you had so many hours in a row off work?

Okay, okay, I'll try to stay on topic. Promise.

<---refills water and favorite drink; fluffs pillows; cleans up all the tissues and popsicle sticks our sick patient has left laying around; cooks up an outrageously good dessert for TDG to serve to sis and bil, puts on TDG's favorite Mokey episode and quietly leaves.
