Well, who did we find hiding behind the main door waiting for his entrance but - Mickey Mouse! I knew Mickey was there to do a job and would have understood if "he" had politely declined to interact with us, but not Mickey! Maybe in part because he could tell my grandson was a little sad, he pulled out every trick in the book to entertain him. Mickey was nothing short of WONDERFUL! We had a magical experience I will never forget. Not only that, but after Mickey was finished taking pictures with all the guests, he came over and said a special good-bye to us (by then my son and daughter-in-law and "Grumpa" were there, so they got to experience some of the special magic, too!). What a great way to end a trip! I have had many wonderful Disney experiences, but this is right up at the top!

That is so cool. I am glad I finally got to check out this thread. I just love those over the top memories. Once, upon entering the Park, Alice and the Mad Hatter *kidnapped* my grandchildren. They sat them down at a table and the MH took my grandson's map and started telling him where to go and what to do in the Park; marking out our route with a Magic Marker. Of course he had us running from land to land and back again but it was unforgettable. Especially since Alice is my DD's all-time favorite.
So glad to see the discussion boards back online. I need my regular LaughingPlace fix. I'm sure the new format is much more 21st century, but the old one certainly made it easier to find what you were looking for, at least for me! Great story, Sally. I have always really enjoyed all encounters with Alice. The CMs really seem to really "get" the character.
I have never seen and Alice *break character* onstage. Once I saw her wandering through Fantasyland talking to flowers.
And, the new format is really great and easier once you get used to it. I am by no means a tech person but I am really enjoying it.
