I don't know if he's actually gay or not. But he would hardly be the first uber-homophobic man to be protesting too much.

My favorite two comments: "It's pretty much a given that the most vociferously homophobic men are usually repressing something. But, oh Mary, Michele Bachmann's husband Marcus takes the ever-loving cake. He's a cure-the-gay therapist out of a John Waters movie. I haven't seen flames this high since the last California wildfire..."

    and

"He just wants to ban gay marriage out of spite. If he has to put up with being married to a woman and so being deep in the closet he can see Narnia , then everyone else has to suffer through it. "

And, I mean, just look at the picture on the top of the article. I'm sorry, but... damn.

    There's also this:

Living as a gay man in San Francisco for my entire adult life, I've developed an "ear" for the lilting sounds of GAY! and Marcus Bachmann is pitch perfect.

So is Lindsay Graham, but that's another matter.

But when he starts actively working against the rights of gay people, and indulging in that "reparative therapy" crap that does real damage to real people - then he's not just screwing up his own life, he's screwing up other people's lives, and he deserves the ridicule he's getting.

I mean, good God man, who do you think you're fooling?
