Rushmore, something I've always wanted to see.

I just wanted to say that I found it simply beautiful and I realized it's something that has to be seen in person to really appreciate. I was wondering if any other LPers have been there, and what you thought if you have.

It's spectacular and no photos ever do it justice.

I hope to live to see the Crazy Horse monument completed. It looks to be even more impressive.

It looks to be super-impressive if they ever get it done.

Mt. Rushmore really was a site to see though, I spent about an hour there, since I was pressed for time. I could have easily spent many more. I want to go back with my wife and spend a few days in the area.

It's easily one of those sights everyone must try to see in their lifetime.

It really is different to see it in person and the area around it was beautiful.

I only wished we had time to see Yellowstone and/or Grand Tetons on our way, but our schedule would not allow anymore time. I'll be sure to see it sometime though. I am glad I got to see Rushmore, and at 32 years old, I'm at the age where I appreciate it more now than I would have when I was younger.

The first time I saw it, the old Cafeteria and Gift Shop were there, which I loved because of North by Northwest with Cary Grant!
