Seriously though - I saw Lion King on Broadway while in NY on biz - and it was just OK for me, and to this day I am not sure why, maybe too high expectations going in as I actually enjoyed B&B more. seriously though, have you gone to Stratford, Ontario...place is awesome for Shakespeare...runs most of summer across 4 theatres in this town of about 25 - 30K people. Very very nice, I highly recommend

As B&B is a pure riff on the movie I have never loved it as a musical. TLK on the other hand is incredible theater. Not quite on the level of Mary Poppins for me but damn close. Hearing One by One opening the second act still gives me goosebumps. A tour de force like nothing else on Broadway... ...until November 15 that is.

A lot of times that can happen. I went to see Joseph with my daughter ( with Donny Osmond) - and I had VERY low expectations and I ended up liking it.

Legend of the LK? Beauty and the Beast?
