Just wanted to say I like the new look of the home page.

Is there any way to put a button or a link to the Discussion Boards in an easier place to fine?

I almost couldn't find the boards link. Thought they did away with it for a tick.

They may be trying to do away with it.

Yes, I noticed the address for the boards is "old.laughingplace". Before they pull the plug, I hope they at least say... bye.

And now, most of the main site doesn't appear to work. (But if you have the direct link to the boards, you can still get into those. For now.)

Use the top menu > More Disney > under more stuff is Discussion Boards.

I see that's working again. Three hours ago, the menu wasn't opening fully.

It takes time to convert a site to a new CMS. Please be patient.

    The new LP looks good.

WOW!! I am out of state and on a computer that is not mine; so no links. Suddenly, all I could get was "page not found." When I went to LaughingPlace I got the new page but never did find a link. I was all over the place typing in anything I could think of and could not find discussion boards anywhere. I was very upset and ready to call or text someone to find out if LP was indeed dead for good; without so much as a fare-thee-well.
Two days ago I got on my husband's *not-at-all-smart* phone and found a link to www.old.laughingplace. Whew!
Glad to see we are still together for now and still posting.:confused:o_O:confused:o_O:confused: :)

Glad you found us. Things don't always go smoothly when converting over to a new CMS.

I just hope you're not one of the trolls and spammers who haven't found the board yet. ;)

    Hi all:

Nice to see some positive words about the new site. The discussion boards are not going anywhere. We've moved the rest of the site to a completely new server, so that necessitated changing the domain for the discussion boards. Hence the www-old (not the best name, I agree, but that's the only reason). And a more prominent discussion board link definitely may happen. It is something I'm considering.

Thanks so much everyone for sticking with us all these years!

    Doobie.

I'm glad to read that the forum is going to stay, despite the low traffic.

Facebook screwed us up. We need to get some fresh blood on the boards.

I don't do Facebook. Ever. For any reason. And any computer that is under my direct control, on which the Host Table is accessible, has Host Table entries to interdict any Facebook traffic: I've dealt with covert links to Facebook, and covertly embedded Facebook content, and I don't tolerate attempts to trick me into accessing it.

My employer was told long ago that a direct order to do Facebook on behalf of the company would result in my immediate resignation, with prejudice.
